The Municipality of Galatsi won the first prize for Best Practices in Environment and Sustainability at the Greek Green Awards 2019, held as part of the 3rd Verde.Tec 2019 International Environmental Technologies Exhibition (15-17/2/2019, Paiania ΜΕC exhibition centre in Greece). ion of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE), Mr. Maria Sreckovic. The prize was for Galatsi Municipality’s participation as coordinator in the LIFE CAT4HEAVY project. 48 municipalities, local authorities and solid waste management organizations from all over Greece attended the event, presenting their actions devoted to environmental sustainability.
